We would like to welcome you to the 7th Purley (All Saints Kenley) Scout Group website. We are a thriving Group offering scouting to young people between the ages of 6 and 14 and have a close partnership with All Saints Explorer Scout Unit, enabling our members to continue their scouting until they are 18. We offer our members a very wide range of activities and provide the opportunity to develop new skills and enjoy the company of friends in a well organised and safe environment. We work very closely with parents and encourage them to become fully involved in the life of the Group.
On this website you can read news about the Group and see information about each section, such as a programme of activities and events.
We experienced problems with our original gallery and access to this has been withdrawn. A new gallery is currently being tested and will be added as soon as possible. If you have previously registered as a member of this site, this option has been disabled until the gallery is available.

NEWS:
Explorers restart on Sunday 5th September, Beavers and Cubs on Tuesday 7th September and Scouts on Thursday 9th September.
The Scouts have just returned from a very successful camp in Dartmoor. The weather could have been better but did not prevent them enjoying a range of activities which included coasteering, kayaking, mountain biking and archery.
COMING UP:
The Explorers are planning a weekend camp this month and at half term the Scouts will be going to Snowdonia and the Cubs will go on a PGL weekend.
PAST EVENTS:
During the summer term, the Scouts and Explorers went on some mountain biking trips, the Scouts took part in a district camping competition, the Explorers did an activity weekend at Gilwell Park and the Cubs held their annual camp. So far this year, the Scouts' activities have included a challenge hike, scuba diving, sailing on yachts on the Norfolk Broads at Easter, ice skating and swimming. The Explorers held a spring camp and competed in two challenge hikes.
During the winter months we still try to do as many outdoor activities as possible. Our main winter activities are the Scouts' Snowdonia trip and the Cubs' PGL weekend; both during the October half term. The older Scouts and Explorers also do a yachting weekend in Norfolk in November.

FUTURE EVENTS:
Our next family event will be an air rifle competition planned for Saturday 25 September from 1 pm. Details are currently being circulated.
NEWS:
We held a very successful family camp at Blacklands Farm in June with a record number of families taking part.
EVENTS:
As well as fundraising and other social events, the parents have organised two family events in the past year; a family camp in Sussex in June and an air rifle competition near Kenley Common in September. These have both proved great fun with a good number of families taking part. A family games evening is also arranged from time to time.
